Medicare is a kind of health insurance developed by the U.S. government for older persons, along with those that have specific disabilities and diseases. If someone who has Medicare needs rehab for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered in full by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The one catch is, the individual must receive treatment from an alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to commence rehabilitation, they will also have to visit their primary care physician who must state that treatment services are medically necessary, and the physician will usually approve what sort of treatment the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of treatment services. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center when the individual should be hospitalized because of their problem, and the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are identical to every other hospital stay. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab within a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance coverage or they will have to self pay.
