In the first place, detecting a substance abuse problem among the hearing impaired can be a challenge, since these individuals may make an attempt to hide their issue due to social stigmas that come with drug abuse. However, alcohol and drug rehab counselors who provide treatment to hearing impaired individuals understand the challenges that these clients face. ASL rehabilitation services are definitely a must, as are rehab services which address the unique challenges that hearing impaired individuals encounter. Group therapy provides a venue for important peer interactions to ensure rehabilitation clients can know that they're not alone, and that there's hope to handle their problem with drugs and alcohol. Individual counseling services could be more tailor-made for everybody to ensure their own problems can be handled in rehab.
