TRICARE is health insurance which is provided to members of the armed forces of the United States. Drug and alcohol use inside the military is more common than one would imagine, and the necessity to offer rehab to these individuals is a crucial priority. TRICARE covers a number of rehab services to cope with alcohol and drug dependence including detoxification services, along with treatment in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient facilities. Those that have TRICARE will of course need to have a prior approval before partaking in any type of rehab service, which can be organized using a regional TRICARE representative. If an inpatient facility will be the favored rehab option, TRICARE will cover a three week period or one inpatient stay in such a program per benefit period which is every 12 months. There are certain limits about just how long a TRICARE member can stay in an inpatient center that accepts TRICARE, and there's typically a 30-45 day window that's covered. TRICARE also covers family therapy that may be very beneficial, as it can certainly help include family members in the healing and recovery process. No person in the military should fight this battle alone, and there are professional treatment counselors ready to help today.
