Medicare is a form of medical health insurance designed by the U.S. government for older persons, as well as those that have certain disabilities and illnesses. When someone who has Medicare needs treatment for instances of substance abuse, their treatment will either be covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant degree. The only real exception is, the person will have to obtain treatment from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to commence treatment, they may also have to visit their physician who must declare that treatment services are medically essential, and the physician will usually approve what type of treatment the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehabilitation solutions. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program if the individual needs to be in a hospital because of their issue, and the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab inside a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance or they will have to self pay.
