TRICARE is health care insurance which is offered to people in the armed forces of the United States. Those that have TRICARE will naturally be required to have a prior authorization before taking part in any kind of treatment service, that may be organized using a regional TRICARE liaison. If an inpatient facility could be the favored rehab option, TRICARE covers a 3 week period or one inpatient stay in that program per benefit period which is every 12 months. There are certain limits as to just how long a TRICARE member can remain in an inpatient center that accepts TRICARE, and there is typically a 30-45 day window that is covered.
