Medicare is a kind of health insurance developed by the U.S. government for older persons, in addition to people with certain disabilities and diseases. If someone that has Medicare needs rehab for cases of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered in full by their Medicare health insurance or to a great degree. The only exception is, the individual will have to receive treatment from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to start rehab, they may also have to see their primary care physician who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically needed, and the physician will usually approve what type of rehabilitation the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of rehabilitation providers. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center when the individual needs to be hospitalized for his or her problem, and also the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are the same as every other hospital stay. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab in the Medicare accepted program, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance or they will have to self pay.
