Medicare is a form of health care insurance created by the U.S. government for older persons, as well as individuals with certain disabilities and diseases. If an individual that has Medicare needs rehab for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will either be covered in full by their Medicare insurance or to a significant degree. The only real exception is, the individual will need to obtain treatment from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to commence treatment, they will also have to see their physician who must declare that treatment services are medically needed, and the doctor will usually approve what type of rehab the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehabilitation providers. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility in the event that the individual has to be in a hospital for his or her issue, and the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are identical to any other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation within a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
