Medicare is a form of medical insurance designed by the federal government for older persons, and also those that have specific disabilities and sicknesses. If an individual that has Medicare needs treatment for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will be either covered in full by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The only catch is, the individual will have to receive treatment from an alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to commence rehabilitation, they may also have to visit their doctor who must state that treatment services are medically essential, and the physician will generally approve which kind of treatment the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehabilitation services. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility in the event that the individual should be hospitalized for his or her problem, along with the costs that they will have to pay for personally are the same as any other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab within a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
