Offering gender-specific rehab services has proven worthwhile in circumstances where conventional treatment facilities have fallen short, including dealing with situations in the women's life which are unique and distressing. Such troubles may have to do with sexual abuse, physical abuse, mental abuse, eating disorders, one's family members and being a mother, or another really serious issues that are particular to women. Studies show that women also can get involved in drug use more readily than men, and are more predisposed to illness as a result of dependency problems than males because of this.
