Dual diagnosis rehabs are facilities which deliver treatment to address both addiction and mental health issues simultaneously. Offering a safe and secure setting is key to ensure dual diagnosis clients can be comfortable and remain free from distraction from things that could cut across their treatment plan and development. Treatment counselors will continue to work to spot environmental issues in the client's life including negative relationships or other things which must be addressed in order for the person to remain mentally stable and sober t after they leave dual diagnosis rehab. Dual diagnosis clients also reap the benefits of behavioral rehab that helps them develop more effective coping mechanisms so that they are better able to deal with life situations well once they depart dual diagnosis rehab as opposed to returning to alcohol and drugs as an inferior option.
