Medicare is a form of medical health insurance developed by the federal government for older persons, as well as people with certain disabilities and sicknesses. If a person who has Medicare needs rehabilitation for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will either be covered completely by their Medicare insurance or to a great degree. The only real catch is, the individual must obtain treatment coming from an alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to start rehab, they can also get to see their primary care physician who must state that rehab services are medically needed, and the physician will typically approve which kind of rehab the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of treatment solutions. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual should be in a hospital for problem, and the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab in a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
