TRICARE is health care insurance that is provided to folks in the military of the United States. Drug abuse within the military is a lot more common than one would imagine, and the need to offer rehabilitation to these individuals is an important priority. TRICARE covers a number of treatment services to cope with drug and alcohol dependence such as detox services, as well as rehab in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient settings. Individuals with TRICARE will naturally need to obtain a prior approval before partaking in any type of rehabilitation service, which can be arranged with their regional TRICARE representative. If an inpatient facility could be the preferred rehabilitation choice, TRICARE covers a 3 week period or one inpatient stay in this particular program per benefit period which is every 12 months. There are specific limits about how much time a TRICARE member can remain within an inpatient center that accepts TRICARE, and there is typically a 30 to 45 day window that's covered. TRICARE also covers family treatment that may be very helpful, as it can help include family members in the healing and recovery process. No member of the military should fight this battle alone, and there are skilled rehabilitation counselors standing by to help you today.
