Medicare is a form of health insurance created by the U.S. government for older persons, in addition to people who have certain disabilities and sicknesses. If someone who has Medicare needs treatment for cases of substance abuse, their treatment will either be covered entirely by their Medicare insurance or to a significant extent. The only real exception is, the person must receive treatment from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to commence treatment, they will also have to see their primary care physician who must declare that treatment services are medically needed, and the doctor will usually approve what sort of rehabilitation the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of rehabilitation services. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual needs to be in a hospital because of their issue, along with the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are identical to every other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient treatment in the Medicare accepted program, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance or they're going to have to self pay.
