Medicare is a sort of health care insurance designed by the government for seniors, along with individuals with certain disabilities and illnesses. If someone who has Medicare needs treatment for cases of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered fully by their Medicare health insurance or to a great extent. The one catch is, the individual must acquire treatment from an alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to start rehab, they can also get to visit their doctor who must declare that rehab services are medically needed, and the doctor will generally approve what sort of rehabilitation the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehabilitation solutions. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual needs to be in a hospital for their problem, and the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to any other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation in the Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance coverage or they will have to self pay.
