Medicare is a kind of health insurance designed by the government for older persons, along with individuals with certain disabilities and diseases. If a person that has Medicare needs rehabilitation for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered fully by their Medicare health insurance or to a great degree. The only catch is, the individual will need to receive treatment from an alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to start rehab, they will also have to visit their physician who must state that treatment services are medically essential, and the doctor will generally approve what type of rehabilitation the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehab solutions. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual needs to be hospitalized because of their problem, as well as the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as any other stay in a hospital. Part B will partly cover outpatient treatment within a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance coverage or they will have to self pay.
