Medicare is a type of health care insurance designed by the U.S. government for older folks, and also people with certain disabilities and diseases. If an individual who has Medicare needs treatment for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered completely by their Medicare insurance or to a significant degree. The only exception is, the person will need to receive treatment from your drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to commence treatment, they will also have to visit their medical doctor who must state that rehab services are medically needed, and the doctor will typically approve what type of rehab the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehabilitation providers. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual should be hospitalized for problem, along with the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab inside a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance or they'll have to self pay.
