TRICARE is medical health insurance which is offered to members of the armed forces of the United States. Drug abuse within the military is a lot more common than one would imagine, and the need to provide rehab to these individuals is an important priority. TRICARE covers a number of rehabilitation services to cope with drug and alcohol dependence including detoxification services, along with treatment in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient facilities. Those that have TRICARE will naturally need to get a prior authorization before taking part in any kind of rehabilitation service, that may be arranged using their regional TRICARE liaison. If an inpatient center will be the favored rehabilitation option, TRICARE covers a 3 week period or one inpatient stay in that facility per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are certain limits as to how much time a TRICARE member can remain in an inpatient center that accepts TRICARE, and there's typically a 30-45 day window which is covered. TRICARE also covers family therapy which can be very helpful, as it can help include loved ones in the healing and recovery process. No member of the military should struggle with this battle alone, and there are professional rehabilitation counselors standing by to help today.
