Medicare is a form of health insurance created by the government for senior citizens, along with individuals with specific disabilities and illnesses. When someone that has Medicare needs treatment for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will be either covered completely by their Medicare insurance or to a great extent. The only exception is, the individual will have to acquire treatment coming from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to begin rehab, they may also have to visit their medical doctor who must state that treatment services are medically needed, and the physician will generally approve which kind of rehabilitation the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehab solutions. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program when the individual needs to be in a hospital for their issue, and also the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to every other hospital stay. Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation in a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance or they'll have to self pay.
