A group home for anyone who has been involved in drug abuse is a facility which provides continual support and help for folks in recovery. A group home is ordinarily for troubled adolescents, but there's also group homes for people with a mental health problem or who are encountering behavioral difficulties for example. Instead of sending those who are struggling with drug abusedrug use or recovering from substance abuse to an orphanage, asylum or other similar facility, a group home may help provide an appropriate environment to help individuals maintain stability in their lives and also have counsel and support at their fingertips 24/7. Residents in the group home could be taking part in rehabilitation services whilst in residence, or could be taking measures to get their life setup outside the group home in order to at some time live on their own outside the group home. For instance, a troubled youth who's been in recovery or has recovered from drug abusedrug use can try to get their GED or obtain employment. A group home is definitely not a long-term or permanent option, but it's a practical temporary option for many who are attempting to get their lives back together again.
