Medicaid is a medical health insurance available for those who are in specific income brackets which qualifies them to obtain this government provided insurance. Whether a person qualifies for Medicaid doesn't only depend upon their earnings however, and people shouldn't assume they don't qualify just because they make an acceptable income. For example, men and women who have a lot of dependents may qualify for Medicaid even when they earn what would be described as a reasonable income. Medicaid can also cover the price of rehab, if someone has been abusing drugs or alcohol and requires rehabilitation. There are several alcohol and drug rehabilitation facilities which accept Medicaid, but various states have distinct guidelines for what forms of rehabilitation are covered. Some states only include outpatient rehab services by way of example while other states cover more intensive rehabilitation such as a residential stay in long-term drug and alcohol rehab facility. If somebody is involved in substance abuse and desires help, they can use their Medicaid insurance coverage to obtain this help. If they don't have Medicaid plus don't have the money or any other type of medical health insurance to pay for treatment, they can see if they are eligible for a Medicaid and then enroll in a drug treatment program that's approved within their state.
