TRICARE is health care insurance that is provided to individuals in the military of the United States. Drug abuse within the military is more common than one would think, and the need to provide rehab to these individuals is an important priority. TRICARE covers many different rehabilitation services to cope with alcohol and drug dependence like detoxification services, along with treatment in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient settings. People with TRICARE will obviously need to obtain a prior authorization before partaking in any type of rehabilitation service, which is often organized using their regional TRICARE liaison. If an inpatient program will be the favored rehab option, TRICARE covers a 3 week period or one inpatient stay in this particular center per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are certain limits about just how long a TRICARE member can stay in an inpatient facility that accepts TRICARE, and there is typically a 30-45 day window that's covered. TRICARE also covers family counselling which is often very helpful, as it can help include family members in the healing and process of recovery. No person in the military should fight this battle alone, and there are expert treatment counselors standing by to help you today.
