Medicare is a type of health insurance developed by the federal government for seniors, as well as individuals with specific disabilities and diseases. When someone that has Medicare needs treatment for cases of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered entirely by their Medicare insurance or to a significant extent. The only catch is, the individual will have to receive treatment from the drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to begin rehabilitation, they may also have to see their doctor who must state that rehab services are medically necessary, and the physician will usually approve what sort of rehabilitation the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehabilitation solutions. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual must be hospitalized for his or her issue, and the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are identical to any other hospital stay. Part B will partly cover outpatient treatment within a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance or they will have to self pay.
