Medicare is a type of medical health insurance developed by the federal government for senior citizens, along with individuals with specific disabilities and diseases. When someone who has Medicare needs rehabilitation for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered completely by their Medicare insurance or to a significant degree. The one exception is, the person will need to obtain treatment coming from an alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to begin treatment, they may also have to visit their medical doctor who must declare that treatment services are medically essential, and the physician will generally approve what type of treatment the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehabilitation services. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center if the individual has to be in a hospital because of their problem, along with the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are identical to every other stay in a hospital. Part B will partially cover outpatient treatment in the Medicare accepted program, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they will have to self pay.
