TRICARE covers a number of rehab services to address alcohol and drug dependence such as detox services, and also rehabilitation in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient settings. People who have TRICARE will of course have to obtain a prior approval before taking part in any sort of treatment service, which can be organized using a regional TRICARE representative. If an inpatient program will be the preferred rehab option, TRICARE will cover 21 days or one inpatient stay in this facility per benefit period which is every 12 months. There are certain limits about the length of time a TRICARE member can remain in an inpatient program that accepts TRICARE, and there's typically a 30 to 45 day window that is covered. TRICARE also covers family therapy which may be very helpful, as it can help include loved ones in the healing and recovery process. No person in the military should struggle with this battle alone, and there are skilled rehab counselors standing by to help you today.
