Medicare is a form of health insurance designed by the government for seniors, and also individuals with specific disabilities and sicknesses. If a person that has Medicare needs treatment for cases of substance abuse, their rehab will either be covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a great extent. The only catch is, the person must obtain treatment from an alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to start rehab, they can also get to see their medical doctor who must declare that treatment services are medically needed, and the doctor will typically approve what type of treatment the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehabilitation providers. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program in the event that the individual needs to be hospitalized for his or her issue, and the costs that they will have to cover personally are identical to every other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient treatment within a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance or they will have to self pay.
