Medicare is a form of health insurance designed by the U.S. government for senior citizens, in addition to people who have certain disabilities and illnesses. When someone who has Medicare needs treatment for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will be either covered in full by their Medicare insurance or to a significant extent. The only real catch is, the person will have to obtain treatment from the alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to commence rehab, they can also get to visit their primary care physician who must state that treatment services are medically needed, and the physician will usually approve which kind of rehab the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehabilitation providers. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program in the event that the individual has to be in a hospital because of their problem, as well as the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient treatment in the Medicare accepted center, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
