Medicare is a kind of medical health insurance designed by the federal government for senior citizens, along with people with specific disabilities and diseases. When someone that has Medicare needs treatment for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will either be covered completely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The only real catch is, the person will have to receive treatment coming from an alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to start rehab, they may also have to visit their primary care physician who must declare that rehab services are medically needed, and the doctor will typically approve which kind of rehab the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehab services. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual must be hospitalized for their problem, and the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are identical to every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation in a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance coverage or they've got to self pay.
