Medicare is a form of health care insurance developed by the U.S. government for older persons, as well as those that have specific disabilities and sicknesses. If a person who has Medicare needs rehab for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will be either covered completely by their Medicare health insurance or to a great extent. The one catch is, the individual will have to receive treatment coming from an alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to start rehabilitation, they may also have to visit their primary care physician who must declare that rehab services are medically needed, and the doctor will typically approve what type of treatment the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehab providers. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program if the individual should be in a hospital because of their problem, and also the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are identical to every other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab in a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance or they're going to have to self pay.
