Self pay is often times the only option for those who need rehab in a drug treatment program for drug use but have no medical insurance. It isn't uncommon for an individual addicted to drugs or alcohol not to have private medical health insurance, as it can be challenging to maintain a drug or alcohol habit going while also maintaining employment.
