Treatment counselors within a LGBT rehab will help clients mend relationships with their loved ones, in the case their family disagree with their sexual preference as is generally the case. This situation is an extremely common trigger for substance abuse, and is also a good example of something can be handled in rehab. LGBT clients often only want to be accepted within their lives, and treatment will help them accept themselves and create confidence to be able to lead a wholesome life free of alcohol and drugs.
