Medicare is a type of health insurance developed by the U.S. government for senior citizens, and also individuals with specific disabilities and illnesses. If an individual who has Medicare needs treatment for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered completely by their Medicare health insurance or to a great degree. The only exception is, the individual will need to acquire treatment from the alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to start treatment, they may also have to visit their medical doctor who must state that rehabilitation services are medically necessary, and the physician will generally approve which kind of rehabilitation the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehab solutions. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual should be hospitalized for his or her problem, along with the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are identical to any other stay in a hospital. Part B will partially cover outpatient rehab inside a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance or they've got to self pay.
