Medicare is a type of medical health insurance developed by the U.S. government for senior citizens, in addition to people with certain disabilities and illnesses. When someone that has Medicare needs treatment for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will either be covered completely by their Medicare health insurance or to a great degree. The one exception is, the person must acquire treatment from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to start rehab, they may also have to visit their medical doctor who must declare that treatment services are medically necessary, and the doctor will typically approve which kind of rehabilitation the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehab services. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility in the event that the individual has to be hospitalized for issue, and also the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to any other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient treatment in a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance or they'll have to self pay.
