Medicare is a sort of health insurance created by the federal government for older folks, in addition to people who have certain disabilities and diseases. If someone who has Medicare needs rehab for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will either be covered in full by their Medicare insurance or to a great extent. The one exception is, the person will need to acquire treatment coming from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to commence treatment, they may also have to see their medical doctor who must state that rehab services are medically necessary, and the physician will generally approve what type of rehab the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehabilitation services. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center when the individual must be in a hospital for his or her problem, and also the costs that they will have to pay for personally are the same as every other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient treatment within a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance or they will have to self pay.
