People with TRICARE will obviously be required to obtain a prior authorization before partaking in any kind of rehab service, which may be organized with their regional TRICARE representative. If an inpatient facility could be the preferred rehab option, TRICARE will cover twenty-one days or one inpatient stay in this center per benefit period which is every 12 months. There are specific limits about how long a TRICARE member can stay in an inpatient program that accepts TRICARE, then there is typically a 30-45 day window that is covered. TRICARE also covers family therapy which may be very helpful, as it could help include loved ones in the healing and recovery process.
