If an inpatient center could be the favored treatment choice, TRICARE will cover 21 days or one inpatient stay in that facility per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are certain limits as to how much time a TRICARE member can remain within an inpatient program that accepts TRICARE, and there's typically a 30 to 45 day window which is covered. TRICARE also covers family treatment that may be very useful, as it can help include family members in the healing and process of recovery.
