Medicare is a type of medical health insurance designed by the U.S. government for older persons, in addition to people with specific disabilities and illnesses. If an individual who has Medicare needs rehabilitation for cases of substance abuse, their rehab will be either covered in full by their Medicare insurance or to a great extent. The only real catch is, the person will have to obtain treatment from an alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to begin rehabilitation, they may also have to see their medical doctor who must declare that treatment services are medically necessary, and the physician will usually approve what type of rehabilitation the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehabilitation solutions. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center if the individual must be in a hospital for his or her issue, along with the costs that they will have to cover personally are identical to any other stay in a hospital. Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation within a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance or they will have to self pay.
