Medicare is a type of health insurance created by the U.S. government for seniors, along with individuals with certain disabilities and illnesses. If a person who has Medicare needs rehab for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered in full by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant degree. The one exception is, the individual will have to receive treatment from the alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to commence rehabilitation, they will also have to see their primary care physician who must state that treatment services are medically essential, and the physician will generally approve which kind of rehab the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of rehab solutions. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program when the individual must be in a hospital because of their issue, along with the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are identical to every other hospital stay. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation in a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they will have to self pay.
