Medicare is a form of medical health insurance designed by the U.S. government for senior citizens, along with individuals with certain disabilities and diseases. When someone who has Medicare needs treatment for instances of substance abuse, their rehab will be either covered completely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant degree. The only catch is, the individual must obtain treatment from the drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to start rehabilitation, they may also have to visit their primary care physician who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically needed, and the physician will usually approve what sort of treatment the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehabilitation providers. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual needs to be in a hospital because of their issue, and the costs that they will have to cover personally are identical to any other hospital stay. Part B will partly cover outpatient treatment in the Medicare accepted center, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance or they're going to have to self pay.
