Medicare is a type of health care insurance designed by the federal government for older folks, and also people who have certain disabilities and sicknesses. If someone that has Medicare needs treatment for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will be either covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a great extent. The only real catch is, the person will need to obtain treatment from the drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to commence treatment, they will also have to see their primary care physician who must declare that rehab services are medically essential, and the physician will typically approve which kind of rehabilitation the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehab services. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual has to be in a hospital for their problem, and the costs that they will have to pay for personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab inside a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance coverage or they will have to self pay.
