As opposed to sending individuals who are experiencing substance abuse or recovering from substance abuse to an orphanage, asylum or other similar facility, a group home will help offer an appropriate environment to help individuals maintain stability in their lives and have counsel and support within reach around the clock. Residents inside a group home could be getting involved in rehabilitation services whilst in residence, or may be taking measures to get their life set up outside of the group home in order to at some time live on their own outside the group home.
