Dual diagnosis rehabs are programs which provide treatment to handle both addiction and mental health issues simultaneously. Treatment counselors will work to spot environmental factors in the client's life including negative relationships or any other things that have to be addressed in order for the individual to remain mentally stable and abstinen t whenever they leave dual diagnosis rehab. Dual diagnosis clients also benefit from behavioral rehabilitation that helps them develop more efficient coping mechanisms so that they are able to better deal with life circumstances more proficiently once they leave dual diagnosis rehab rather than turning to drugs as an inferior solution.
