Medicaid is a form of medical insurance available for many people who are in certain income brackets which qualifies them to receive this government provided insurance. Whether an individual qualifies for Medicaid doesn't only depend upon their earnings however, and people shouldn't assume they don't qualify just because they make a good income. Some states only cover outpatient treatment services as an example while other states cover more intensive rehabilitation like a residential stay in long-term alcohol and drug rehabilitation center. If a person is involved with drug abuse and desires help, they are able to use their Medicaid health coverage to get this treatment. If they do not have Medicaid plus don't have the cash or another type of health care insurance to cover rehabilitation, they could see if they are eligible for a Medicaid and then sign up for an alcohol and drug treatment facility which is approved inside their state.
