Medicare is a type of medical health insurance designed by the federal government for older folks, and also people with specific disabilities and diseases. If someone who has Medicare needs treatment for instances of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered completely by their Medicare insurance or to a great extent. The only real catch is, the individual must obtain treatment from the alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to begin rehabilitation, they will also have to visit their medical doctor who must state that rehab services are medically essential, and the physician will generally approve what type of rehabilitation the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of treatment services. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center in the event that the individual should be hospitalized for their problem, and the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are identical to any other stay in a hospital. Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation within a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance coverage or they've got to self pay.
