TRICARE is medical health insurance that's provided to members of the military of the United States. Drug abuse within the military is more common than one would assume, and the need to provide rehab to these individuals is a priority. TRICARE covers a variety of rehab services to handle drug and alcohol dependence such as detoxification services, along with rehab in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient settings. People who have TRICARE will naturally be required to get a prior authorization before partaking in any sort of rehab service, which may be organized with their regional TRICARE liaison. If an inpatient facility will be the preferred treatment choice, TRICARE covers a 3 week period or one inpatient stay in that center per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are certain limits as to how much time a TRICARE member can remain in an inpatient program that accepts TRICARE, and there's typically a 30 to 45 day window that is covered. TRICARE also covers family treatment which may be very helpful, as it can help include loved ones in the healing and process of recovery. No member of the military should struggle with this battle alone, and there are expert rehabilitation counselors ready to help you today.
