Medicare is a type of health insurance developed by the U.S. government for seniors, in addition to people with specific disabilities and diseases. If someone that has Medicare needs rehabilitation for cases of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a great degree. The only real catch is, the individual will have to obtain treatment coming from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to commence rehab, they can also get to visit their doctor who must state that rehab services are medically essential, and the physician will typically approve what type of rehab the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehab providers. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center when the individual has to be hospitalized for his or her problem, along with the costs that they will have to pay for personally are the same as any other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient treatment within a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance coverage or they're going to have to self pay.
