Hearing impaired men and women tend to have an increased chance of drug use issues due to their impairment, and rehab services must be available to them which serves their circumstances. ASL treatment services are definitely a necessity, as are treatment services which address the particular challenges that hearing impaired individuals face. Group therapy provides a forum for important peer interactions in order that rehab clients can know they are not alone, and that there is hope to resolve their problem with alcohol and drugs. Individual counseling services may be more tailored for each person to ensure their own challenges can be handled in rehabilitation.
