TRICARE is health insurance which is offered to individuals in the military of the United States. Drug and alcohol use inside the military is much more common than one would imagine, and the need to offer treatment to these individuals is a vital priority. TRICARE covers a variety of rehab services to cope with alcohol and drug dependence including detox services, along with rehab in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient settings. People who have TRICARE will obviously need to obtain a prior approval before partaking in any type of rehabilitation service, which is often organized using their regional TRICARE representative. If an inpatient facility will be the preferred rehabilitation option, TRICARE covers 21 days or one inpatient stay in that facility per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are particular limits as to just how long a TRICARE member can stay within an inpatient program that accepts TRICARE, and there is typically a 30 to 45 day window that's covered. TRICARE also covers family counselling which can be very beneficial, as it can help include family members in the healing and recovery process. No member of the military should struggle with this battle alone, and there are expert treatment counselors standing by to help today.
