Medicare is a form of health care insurance created by the U.S. government for seniors, in addition to individuals with specific disabilities and diseases. If someone who has Medicare needs treatment for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will either be covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The one exception is, the individual will have to acquire treatment from an alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to start rehab, they may also have to visit their doctor who must state that rehab services are medically needed, and the physician will generally approve which kind of rehabilitation the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehab solutions. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual has to be hospitalized for issue, as well as the costs that they will have to cover personally are identical to every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient treatment in the Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance or they will have to self pay.
