Medicare is a type of health care insurance developed by the U.S. government for senior citizens, in addition to individuals with certain disabilities and diseases. When someone that has Medicare needs treatment for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will either be covered entirely by their Medicare insurance or to a great extent. The one exception is, the individual must receive treatment from your alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to start treatment, they may also have to see their doctor who must declare that treatment services are medically essential, and the physician will typically approve which kind of rehab the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehabilitation services. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program if the individual has to be in a hospital because of their issue, and the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to any other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab within a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they're going to have to self pay.
