Medicare is a kind of medical insurance created by the federal government for older folks, in addition to people who have certain disabilities and sicknesses. When someone who has Medicare needs treatment for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will either be covered completely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The only exception is, the individual must acquire treatment from an alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to begin rehab, they may also have to visit their doctor who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically essential, and the physician will usually approve what type of treatment the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehab solutions. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center if the individual needs to be hospitalized for his or her problem, as well as the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient treatment in the Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they're going to have to self pay.
